Wow, I can’t believe it’s almost a month since the first post! Back when I started this log, I wasn’t sure of myself if I can do this every week, but now, I guess it’s safe to assume that I can keep this going for another couple of months.

Anyway, Ramadan is coming up, which means I need to rethink and reorganize my workout schedule (aka there’s a very good chance I won’t be riding my bike for a month).

Anime

And so, PUIPUI Molcar has come to an end. I guess it’s finally time to catch up on Uma Musume Season 2 and maybe Long Riders! even though I’m still unsure whether I’m going to watch the anime or read the manga.

In other anime-related news, AnimeJapan 2021 is currently ongoing this weekend. Personally, there isn’t any exciting news so far other than Blue Reflection stuff; they announced that the anime is going to air for 2 cours (24–26 episodes). They also announced that 2 new games are coming; Blue Reflection Sun for mobile (iOS/Android) and PC (via DMM), and Blue Reflection Tie (Blue Reflection Second Light in the West) for PS4, Switch, and PC (via Steam).

It seems this time we’re going post-apocalypse

To close this off (you know I should rename this section to Anime & Manga since I read manga a lot more than watching anime), the official Twitter account for Mawaru Penguindrum has been posting a series of countdown images. I have no clue what it’s about, but if it’s a second season announcement it would be really crazy.

Video Games

Let me start this off with one thing first:

There’s a new Melty Blood game coming this year, called Melty Blood Type Lumina.
Yes, it’s real.
Yes, it’s going to have rollback netcode.
Unfortunately, they haven’t announced a PC version (yet).

A picture speaks a thousand words

It’s insane how Type-Moon instantly revives Tsukihime with the remake coming soon on August and announcing a sequel of a cult classic fighting game. Y’all better give your thanks to the FGO whales (either the mobile game players or the arcade players) for making this happen. With Guilty Gear Strive on the horizon and Melty Blood Type Lumina coming soon with good netcode, 2021 really is a good time to become a fighting game fan.

Well anyway, I’ve started (re-)playing Yakuza 6 on PC. Man, the Dragon Engine really shines through compared to when I played it on the PS4. The ragdolling (?) is still as frantic as ever, though in some cases it made the NPC froze instead. Probably some frame rate issues. I’ve been thinking after I’m done with Yakuza 6, maybe it’s a good time to double dip on Final Fantasy XIII and finish the game for good. I remember ragequitting right near the very end of the game, back when I played it on the PS3. Come to think of it, Judgment Remastered is coming out next month. I dunno if I really should try my luck on scoring a PS5 or not. Seriously though, I feel like Sega releasing that game on Stadia out of all platform is the result of a questionable business decision making process.

Vtubers

Ollie from Hololive ID recently did a collab with Dola from Nijisanji JP for a Mario Kart 8 team tournament. She yells a lot throughout the stream, being the hyperactive zombie she is. I watched the VOD of Dola’s POV and the JPbros seem to like Ollie’s energy. The funniest part of the stream is when she taught the other JP vtubers the term “mabar skuy” during her closing speech. Speaking of tournaments, I also tuned in to Hayama Marin’s Fall Guys team tournament run together with Ars Almal, Debidebi Debiru, and Maimoto Keisuke, aka the SilverDevilS.

Meanwhile on the other side, Tsukino Mito also recently revealed her newest “kawaii” outfit, sporting a curled twintail. The way I see it, she kinda looks like Fuyuko from Idolmaster Shiny Colors but with curled downwards twintail instead of regular twintails.

I guess that’s it for this week, see you guys next Sunday!
